What the petition asks

Cycles are the main road users at risk from accidents due to their small footprint unlike cars and lorries have large footprints and motor cyclist have more of a noise presence.

Accidents involving cyclist have a higher likelihood of head injuries which can be life Threatening/changing. A broken leg or arm will normally heal without any problems but a head injury can last for life and put strain on family member and the health service. I have been knocked off my bike and so has my wife we both were lucky and only suffer minor cuts and bruises some people aren't so lucky.
