Provide free asthma medication for diagnosed asthma sufferers

What the petition asks
Currently, asthmatics have to pay the full NHS prescription charge for the medication required to treat asthma symptoms. Diabetics have all their medication free as it is central to the treatment of their condition and this should be the same for asthma sufferers.
Current prescription costs are £8.20 per item (http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcosts/Pages/Prescriptioncosts.aspx).
The discussion around abolition of charges for asthma sufferers has been discussed before, but rejected (https://www.asthma.org.uk/campaign-prescription-charges). Pre Payment Certificates are OK if you get enough items, however I feel that my inhalers (and only my inhalers) should be provided free as they are with other long term, life affecting conditions
