Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

It is clear that you are concerned about the numbers of children who can swim 25 metres and the cost of swimming lessons. However, we are unsure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

If you would like a law to regulate the cost of swimming lessons, we could accept a petition on that. Alternatively, if you would like the Government to subsidise or provide free swimming lessons to children, we could also accept a petition on that.
