Limit the amount of migrants to come into the UK.

What the petition asks
There must be some limit to the number of immigrants that Britain can absorb each year. There is no evidence that immigration on the scale we are now witnessing will in the long run generate large-scale economic benefits for the existing population.
If immigration continues at this pace it will lead to overcrowding and maybe social conflict. It will also threaten our identity as a nation.
We need an immigration policy which strikes a balance between our own interests and those of the poorer countries from which most of the would-be immigrants come.
