What the petition asks

The current refugee crisis is the greatest of our time. The British government must close our borders, in defiance of the EU if necessary, and then from a position of calm, try to work out what else might be done by Britain to address this continuing catastrophe of mass migration and human misery.

The mass movement of peoples from Africa and Asia to Europe is the greatest crisis of our time, and will worsen over the coming decades. By admitting more refugees and immigrants, our Government is only fuelling the crisis. The British people also have rights, to live safely and peacefully in their own homeland, not to be replaced by other peoples, and those rights are the paramount responsibility of a British government.
