Closed 52 signatures

What the petition asks

an overhaul to the current contribution and division of the monies that are deducted from the working person’s income. The taxpayer should have more influence and choice in what their contributions are directed towards and have an opt out option for those they do not agree with.
fundamental core deductions that all working taxpayers contribute to, for example the NHS, education, public services would remain. Additional or extra tax deductions could then be categorised and opted into or opted out of. For example extra tax contributions could go towards immigration, foreign aid, contribution to the EU, welfare support for those who have never contributed etc. The more options in the greater that persons tax deduction. The essential services would be retained and causes the taxpayer feels strongly about or disagrees with would be reflected in the contribution they made from their working income.
