Yvette Cooper, take in Homeless veterans not refugees

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Yvette cooper the Labour mp for Normanton, Pontefract and Castleford says that she would and will take refugees into her home (one of them)

There are 9000 veterans living on the streets today.

What we say is that she should take in Homeless veterans from the streets not refugees.
This is not about refugees not being deserving but the fact that they have 28 members of the EU to go to, our veterans only have one, Furthermore the refugees have access to a £12bn foerign aid fund which is being diverted towards the refugees.
Our veterans have no where near the same level of help from the government.

With her being a labour party politician and voting for the invasion of Iraq she must atone for her mistakes.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is a decision for Yvette Cooper MP personally, not for the UK Government or Parliament.
