Referendum instead of parliament debates for all public matters.

What the petition asks
Instead of having votes in parliament on issues regarding the public, a referendum should be held instead. The government is meant to represent us. However it's time for us to represent ourselves.
Many recent public polls don't reflect the outcome of in parliament votes (ie assisted dying, fracking). This shows the government isn't representing the public, but their own interests. It's time policies and laws represent the country and its people, not just benefitting the few.
