What the petition asks
The UK must resist the European Unions plan for a Brussels designated Armed Forces. Each member state already has its own armed forced which both provide assistance all over the world but more importantly protect their individual sovereign nations from attack.
An EU army will leave the individual nations exposed where it is not in the interest to the EU to provide assistance and will also force nations into conflicts their electorate do not want to take part in.
The UK risk their influence in both NATO and the UN by joining an EU Army and also risk their Nuclear deterrent due to Germany's surrender treaty at the end of the Second World War.
