What the petition asks
We call on the Prime Minister David Cameron, Home Office Minister Theresa May, the Mayor of London Boris Johnson and the Deputy Mayor for Policing Stephen Greenhalgh to halt the plans to sack PCSO’s in London.
PCSO’s are a critical component in helping to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour across London and they are making people feel safer in their homes and within their communities. We ask Dave, Theresa, Boris and Stephen to please act now to keep our PCSO’s in place carrying out their often heroic jobs making Londoners safe.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This petition has been rejected because the Metropolitan Police is a responsibility of the London Assembly and the Mayor of London.
