Bring forward an EDM radio station.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

Radio is always playing the same music day in day out, I suggest we brim forward an EDM station for a bit more variety and taste. For those who don't have an interest in this music don't have to listen to this station.
The EDM culture/ community is already massive and rapidly increasing by the minute with the help of the likes of festivals and gigs, I think this idea would have no bother taking off with the vast majority of people who love this sort of music/culture/

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure what role you would like the Government or Parliament to play in creating an EDM radio station. They couldn't require the BBC to operate one - the BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.

You could write to the BBC directly to make this suggestion.

If there is a different action that you would like the Government or Parliament to take on this, and it's something that's within their power, you could start a petition asking specifically for that.
