Give Father's an equal say and time with their children by default.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

In the UK when a relationship breaks down, the mother always gets the control over the children by default unless the father pursues mediation and court. No matter how good a father you are, the mother holds all the cards and calls all the shots unless you can afford to spend a fortune on legal fees
There are many new studies that show equal time with both parents is extremely beneficial for the development of children.

Why doesn't the UK have a policy that allows both parents to have an equal say and time with their children by default. It always seems to be up to the mother and the father just has to accept that.
