The Junior Doctors new contracted hours & holiday should be enforced on all MPs
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
If Doctors are expected to work 7 days a week, of which Saturday is deemed a sociable working day in order to improve public safety, then so should MPs. Government officials should also not be allowed an extended summer break or time off during 'high demand' periods such as Christmas.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
MPs do not have contractual hours or any formal entitlement to holiday. We're therefore not sure what action you would like to be taken.
If you would like the sitting hours of the House of Commons to be changed, you could start a petition asking for that.
