What the petition asks
Employers are taking advantage of their employees! All employers should be forced to pay their staff for the full amount of time that has been worked! If you leave your work at 5:45 everyday because you are forced to cash up, then you should be paid until 5:45 not 5:30.
5 days a week x 15 minutes extra a day = 1hour 15 minutes extra of your time that you have worked for your employer! And that's just in one week!
52 weeks a year x 15 minutes extra a day = 65 hours extra a year that you work, for free! That's your time that you're not being paid for!
And this is just a typical shop job! It should be a legal requirement that businesses have to pay their staff for the total amount time that has been worked.
