What the petition asks
Fireworks only on 5th November unless licensed for special occasions. Also many childrens get burnt. Animals get scared both wildlife and domesticated as well as the elderly. Police should monitor and take action. 35% more dogs go missing on bonfire night than any other night of the year.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure whether you would like fireworks to be legal only at organised events on 5 November, or whether you would like them to be legal on 5 November and on other days of the year with a license.
