Bring back Stephen Fry as host of QI
Rejected

What the petition asks
Stephen Fry has announced he is quitting as host of the BBC show QI. We demand that the Conservative government immediately make it against the law for him to do so. If they can ban Khat and Keynesian economics then this should be no problem.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government doesn't control which presenters appear on the BBC. The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
You might like to write to the BBC to request that they encourage Mr Fry to remain as host of QI.
