What the petition asks
The UK government has stood idly by whilst the highest earning corporations in this country avoid their legal obligation to pay tax, despite paying a lower rate of tax than the lowest earners in the UK.
Serious legal ramifications must be implemented on corporations which actively avoid tax.

Facebook paid £4,327 in tax in 2014 despite paying staff a combined £35 million in bonuses. Amazon paid £4.2 million in tax on £4.3 billion in sales and Starbucks paid no corporation tax between 2009-12.
The new 'Google Tax' does not do enough by discouraging avoidance but will simply act to find new methods.
Government must act, and it must act now rather than taking from the poor so the rich can have more.
