What the petition asks
The government is no longer standing by its word and honouring the military covenant. We demand that this changes.
Soldiers are being left homeless on the streets, many suffering with PTSD, they are ignored by society and the government, this must change.

There are any number of charities who are taking on the responsibility of supporting veterans and serving soldiers, a job that should be on the shoulders of the government and the military infrastructure.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure what you would like to happen. "Common law" refers to a legal system based on traditions and previous judgments (or "case law"), rather than solely on written law. We are therefore unsure what you mean when you ask for the military covenant to be written into common law.
If you would like the Government to take steps to ensure that it meets its obligations under the military covenant, you could start a petition asking for it do that.
