What the petition asks

It is a disgrace that the Chilcot report has STILL not been made public.

Delays are just cover ups in determining what information is/isn't allowed to be made public. This denies us our rights. All information must be made public.


Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Iraq Inquiry (known as the Chilcot Inquiry) is an independent inquiry. Neither the Government or Parliament is responsible for setting the date on which its final report will be published.

You might be interested to know that both the Prime Minister and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Commons have asked Sir John Chilcot about the progress of the inquiry. You can see the exchanges of correspondence on the Inquiry’s website:
