What the petition asks
My son has autism adhd dyspraxia dyslexia and sensory processing difficulties the school find it hard to see why he has these problems as they don't see a condition so they want a definitive my son has sensory processing disorder which they understand but in the UK it's not recognised
Widely in mental health and autism groups spd is recognised as what is wrong with our children there is even medical studies suggesting that the brain is different with spd kids like adhd kids and autistics also evidence to suggest autism may be a symptom of spd I don't think sensory needs should be vague what is wrong with aknowledgeing it as spd why do we not? Dyslexia isn't widely accepted but still diagnosed as a condition this would change lives when it's already hard
