New rule: if a manifesto promise is broken, it triggers a general election

What the petition asks

I read an article recently that shared my views on this specific matter. The government are employed by the citizens, and they need to be held accountable. As such if they make promises during their election campaigns that contribute to their elections, they must stand by their word.
For too long, people have been getting lied to to win votes, when people responsible have no intentions of following through on their promises. In such a case they must revert back to their promises or else a general election is called. Such a measure would keep governments accountable to their words.
