What the petition asks

UK residents did not vote for their MPs to behave like children in the House of Commons and waste time making long winded speeches in order to stop votes for Bills taking place.

No other organisation or company would conduct business this way, elected officials shouldn't either.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Reform the rules on filibustering or 'talking a bill to death'.
