Save Woods Court

Rejected 15 signatures

What the petition asks

Woods Court, Newark-on-Trent, offers care for adults over 65, dementia sufferers and people with physical disabilities. It is the only one of it's kind in the area, services are slowly being removed from this care home as Nottinghamshire County Council have set a closure date of 2017.
The proposed plans are to move any existing residents to Extra Care facilities, or to a privately-run care home. However, no where else in the area offers the same in depth care that people need, but the council see fit to close down this vital service to cut costs, at who's expense?

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The issue you have raised is the responsibility of the local council rather than Parliament or the Government.
