Petition · past parliament
Ban the sale of fireworks to the general public.
Rejected
14 signatures
What the petition asks
Restrict them to public events. Children have been hurt and maimed by fireworks falling into the wrong hands. Animals are terrified and sometimes hurt. There is no need to have everyone holding firework displays. An event open to the public is all that is needed. An organization should get a license
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
We already have three petitions on the subject of restricting the sale of fireworks:
Restrict the use of fireworks to reduce stress and fear in animals and pets
Ban the sale of fireworks to the public and introduce a licensing system
