Petition · past parliament

Allow the leader of UKIP to place a wreath at the cenotaph on remembrance day.

Closed 59 signatures

What the petition asks

UKIP is the third largest party in the United Kingdom by number of votes and represents almost 4 million people; yet is denied a place at the cenotaph on remembrance day.

We request the government change the rules and invite a UKIP representative to lay a wreath along with other senior figures.
The SNP, Liberal Democrats and others will be invited to pay their respects on remembrance Sunday yet represent many fewer people than UKIP. This is not a true reflection of democracy and a representative from UKIP should be offered the opportunity to attend.
