Force Alistair Burt to resign from his position as Health Minister.

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Alistair Burt has sparked outrage after killing off a law to give cancer patients life saving drugs, for as little as 5p.

He spoke for half an hour despite protests from all sides of Parliament delaying three attempts to call a vote and the debate ran out of time and the bill has been shelved
When challenged by the Labour M.P. behind the law, he accused M.P's of; 'shroud-waving' - exploiting a death or tragedy to hog the spotlight.

This sort of behavior is very irresponsible in an M.P, especially one acting as health minister and he should be removed from office immediately.

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.

The resignation of an individual Minister is not a matter for the Government or Parliament as a whole.

We could accept a petition simply calling for a vote of no confidence in a Minister, because that is something that the House of Commons could do.
