What the petition asks
The 1987 Act bars thousands: e.g. Fred Minall aged 74 joined the Royal Navy aged 15 and served 8 years. 50 years later he has Mesothelioma, an asbestos related incurable Lung Cancer; it lies dormant then strikes. He used to swim 40 lengths, now needs chemotherapy and has a short life expectancy.
Fred converted his home to care for his wife who has suffered from Parkinson's Disease for 5 years, now re-diagnosed as “Multiple System Atrophy” (MSA), an aggressive neurological disease requiring 24 hour care.
No compensation is available for Fred's 'Industrial Disease' nor other situations.
At PM Questions (Wed 03 Nov '15) David Cameron promised a review.
Act now to ensure Fred and all Veterans get proper support and compensation.
Please sign up; also ask everyone you know. Many thanks
