Nationally block the privatisation of public facing police staff jobs

What the petition asks
Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire Police are currently engaged in a feasibility study with private company G4S. If they are successful, public sector police staff jobs involving taking calls from members of the public and dispatching officers to incidents would be fulfilled by G4S
It is dangerous for police services to discharge these public duties to that of a private company. Essentially the tax you pay for these services will fund the profits of a global enterprise and line the pockets of their greedy shareholders. Unison is backing police staff in challenging such events from happening as neither they nor the public they serve will be involved in the decision. Information at:
