Vote of confidence in The Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

On September 12th 2015 the people of Great Britain voted for Jeremy Corbyn to become the leader of the Labour Party. Since then he has come under fire from the press and various members of the Party.

This MUST stop.

Let's stand together and show that we have total faith in Jeremy.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The expression "vote of no confidence" is used when talking about a vote in the House of Commons which tests whether or not the Government of the day has the confidence of a majority of MPs in the House of Commons. That's why we allow petitions asking for a vote of no confidence in the Government or in individual Ministers. The concept of the House having “confidence” in someone does not apply to backbench or Opposition Members.
