Use Empty Taxpayer funded accomodatiom to house homeless families over Christmas
Rejected
18 signatures
What the petition asks
With Parliament being closed for several weeks over Christmas, open up MP's uninhabited London accommodation to homeless families and encourage every MP to provide Christmas lunch for the new occupants
According to Shelter 80,000 children will be homeless this Christmas, let's use taxpayer funded accommodation to provid temporary respite care
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This would be a decision for individual MPs to take, not for Parliament as a whole.
