What the petition asks

The conflict in Syria begun due to the people wanting reform from government policies. We have no reason to be involved in the Syrian civil war. Our involvement has made us enemies in the eyes of certain rebellion groups and it is having devastating consequences for the UK and other EU countries.

Earl Howe, Minster of State for the Ministry of Defence, told Parliament on 20 July 2015 that "In accordance with a decision of the House of Commons on 26 September 2014 we have been involved in coalition operations against ISIL in Iraq, and we have supported our allies in their operations against ISIL in Syria—notably in surveillance operations."
