What the petition asks

Legalise the carrying of a handgun for personal protection in life threatening situations. This is proposed due to the serious risk of terrorist attack in the UK and provides a means of defending yourself and stopping a potentially serious attack and loss of life

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Repeal the ban on ownership of handguns, and include personal protection.
