What the petition asks
The essence of a modern society is that it extends civic participation to everyone. Individuals are recognizable through personal attributes, remove those attributes by wearing the Burka and you remove the individuality as well, which becomes segregation which in turn is discrimination between both.
Theresa May, the Home Secretary, suggests that the face veil is a “lifestyle choice” I think that is ridiculous and it is certainly not a necessity, the British public need protection and by someone (man or woman) wearing the Burka you remove recognizable personal attributes to which the public should be aware during a time of a heightened terrorism alert. Many people, (The majority that don’t wear the Burka) feel intimidated and offended by the Burka because of the aforementioned points above.
