What the petition asks
For outstanding loyalty to the indigenous peoples of Europe, please ask UK parliamentarians to recommend the Hungarian Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, to the Board of Directors of the Charlemagne Prize, in order that he receive this prestigious award in 2016.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Anyone can write to the Board of Directors of the Prize to make a nomination. This would be a decision for individual MPs to take, not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
