Hold a referendum on whether we should engage in military combat against IS

Closed 870 signatures

What the petition asks

Following the atrocious attacks on civilians on 13 November, France has sought to invoke article 42.7 to draw other EU member states into a 'retaliatory' offensive against IS (ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) in Syria.

We, the UK public would like a say in whether we, a developed nation, should engage in this
Although I, as an individual, have views on the potential military action, I am not using this as platform to preach them. This is completely neutral in terms of whether we should or should not join in military action. This petition is in the interests of democracy, so that we, the UK public, can have our say on our foreign policy and the consequences of said policy.
