What the petition asks
When newspapers print a story that is inaccurate or misleading it is only fair that the correction receives the same level of coverage as the original article.
This petition is for those who would like to see legislation in place to make this a legal requirement.

This petition is for those who would like to see legislation brought in to make it a legal requirement for the press to print corrections, clarifications and apologies that are the same size, font and placement as the original article.
This will provide a powerful incentive for the press to act more diligently and responsibly whilst also giving the readership a fair chance to reevaluate the original article.
