What the petition asks
Increasing the funds that are given to Amnesty international to help abolish the death penalty on a global scale.
Amnesty International website
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
According to Amnesty International's website, "To ensure our independence, we do not seek or accept money from governments or political parties for our work in documenting and campaigning against human rights abuses." It would seem from this that Amnesty International would not accept funding from the UK Government.
