What the petition asks
Northern Europeans have a genetic mutation which prevents them from producing intrinsic factor needed for the absorption of vitamin b12 . Hydroxycobalamin is an inactive form . The children who have been taken need methylcobalamin , the active form ,which is not available on the NHS .
Too many children have died because they have not been treated with methylcobalamin active vitamin b12 .If not treated this deficiency can be fatal and causes self harming and suicidal tendency .Many children in care have committed suicide .Vitamin b12 deficient mothers have pre term or premature babies ,born with a low birth weight which makes them vulnerable to having a precocious puberty .The children taken are in danger of abuse and need treatment . Many have already come to harm in care .
Why it was rejected
