Send David Cameron to Syria

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Starting wars from the comfort of your home is very simple for some people. David Cameron is stressing the importance of bombing Syria as British lives will be made safer. Therefore we strongly stress that David Cameron to set precedent and lead the way, like a Prime Minister should.
The war in Syria has been going on since 2011. Thousands have been killed and displaced. This has resulted in a staggering amount of refugees. Assad, ISIS and other factors are not helping the people of Syria.
The U.K government at one point wanted to bomb the Assad government however now wants to join hands with Assad to bomb ISIS held areas. One of these is Raqqa, 95% of the population are civilians. Does that seem right to bomb there? No. But if David is adamant let's send him first.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The decision to join the armed forces is for an individual to take, not the responsibility of Government and Parliament as a whole.
