Petition · past parliament

For it to be law whether it is halal or not or other religious meat.

Rejected 12 signatures

What the petition asks

It should be law that all foods should clearly advertise whether it is halal, kosher or not. It must be labelled clearly and the consumer has a choice over consumption on religious grounds or not. It must be a criminal offence not to do so.
Halal meat is not advertised by all restaurants on menus, supermarkets don't show on their labels that such religious practices have been used in the slaughter of meats. This goes for other religious practices when it comes to food and labels, menus etc are not clear when it comes to such choices.
