What the petition asks

Now that the Crown Prosecution Service has decided that there will be no further prosecutions of News International or other media corporations, we, the undersigned, call upon the government to initiate the second phase of the Leveson Inquiry into press misconduct in the UK.

The terms of reference of Part 2 were "to inquire into the extent of unlawful or improper conduct within News International... To inquire into the way in which any relevant police force investigated allegations or evidence of unlawful conduct ... To inquire into the extent to which the police received corrupt payments or other inducements... To inquire into the extent of corporate governance and management failures at News International and other newspaper org's..."
