What the petition asks

We need to take action because sentencing is so lenient sex offenders are more frequently reoffending instead of rehabilitating we the undersigned propose that if the judge finds this crimes serious enough to warrant a jail sentence then the mandatory sentence of ten year should be given

Paedophile convicted firstly of downloading and distributing pornographic images of children went on to sexually assault a young boy was given a two year sentence served one year in jail the other year to be served on licence while on license he went onto sexually assault a 5 year old girl his sentence was a total of eight and a half years only three years two months to be served behind bars the rest of his sentence to be served on license which is where he was when he reoffended most recently we call for tougher sentences and more stringent monitoring
