Reverse the decision to restrict legitimate expenses claims under new tax laws

What the petition asks
Under new tax directives, temporary workers will no longer be able claim legitimate travel and subsistence expenses while working through an umbrella company. SDC test heavily biased in favour of HMRC meaning average Construction worker is to be approx £200 a week worse off
From 6th April 2016 MP's will still be able to receive tax free reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs but due to a change in legislation, umbrella workers will no longer be able to claim the same expenses. As many workers rely on this tax relief in order to make the sacrifice to fill the skills gap where it is needed, this change in tax law will make it impossible for temporary staff to afford increasing travel and accommodation costs
