Support police firearms officers who fire their weapon in the course of duty.

What the petition asks
Too often, police officers who shoot a suspect are immediately hounded, or even suspended from duty. It is a split second decision almost always made with the best intentions, OF KEEPING THE PUBLIC SAFE. They should not be suspended UNLESS and UNTIL it is proven that the shot was a criminal offence.
Otherwise, it will get to the point where firearms officers, who VOLUNTEER for such duty, will not carry arms, or use them, as they know they will not be supported when it is necessary to use them.
