Eradicate the council charges for helping elderly people up after a fall!

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

A local council has defended plans to charge pensioners £26 to help them to their feet if they've had a fall at home.
Clacton-on-Sea in Essex, has come under fire after proposing a £25.92 additional annual charge to around 2,500 Essex residents who use its Careline service.

I am livid with the contents of this news article...I am so mad I want to do something about this!!!
Would it not be better to charge the drunks who fall all over the floor and streets on a Friday and Saturday night causing our emergency services to pander to their needs instead of letting them get on with real emergencies?
We need a petition starting straight away and voice our opinion...we are all going to get old one day...this affects us all!!!!!
