Reverse the decision by the BBC to cease broadcasting Formula 1 races

What the petition asks
The BBC has just announced that it will no longer broadcast Formula 1. This racing series has it's roots in the UK, many of the teams are British based, and British expertees provide the backbone and technical know how for the rest.

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
