Reverse the decision by the BBC to cease broadcasting Formula 1 races

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

The BBC has just announced that it will no longer broadcast Formula 1. This racing series has it's roots in the UK, many of the teams are British based, and British expertees provide the backbone and technical know how for the rest.
This is a culmination of the meddling by the government

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.

You might like to write to the BBC to make this suggestion.
