Petition · past parliament

Amend the Hunting Act 2004 to include a ban on riding out with hunting hounds.

Closed 5,026 signatures

What the petition asks

The Act is deficient in that it allows hunt clubs to ride out with hounds. Hounds do not abide by the law. They pick up the scent of a fox, they chase. The law continues to be flouted in the UK and foxes are still being killed. If hunt clubs aren't hunting, there's no requirement for hunt hounds.
This article by Stuart Radbpurne clearly demonstrates how hunt clubs continue to break the law:-

Foxes are being caught, held captive and then released for the pleasure of hunt members:-
