request for the Equality Act to be amended and remove religion. as it's a choice

Closed 2,003 signatures

What the petition asks

Parliament should change the law so that religion is no longer a protected characteristic under the Equality Act. Religion is a choice, not a right.
religion on the equality act is a contradiction of the rights of non-believers and is a mockery of what charles bradlaugh fought for and is used by religions to gain special privileges and immunity from the law.
