Stop abuse of 'reasonable belief' in employment law

What the petition asks
There needs to be a change in employment law to stop abuse of 'reasonable belief' which allows dishonest employers to have an employee dismissed with no evidence of wrongdoing at all. There should be a requirement for clear evidence through witnesses and/or CCTV footage if available, not hearsay.
The employer’s right to act, to sanction or dismiss, is dependent on the employer having grounds for reasonable belief that the situation occurred. There is no need for proof beyond reasonable doubt or proof on balance of probabilities, just reasonable belief.
