Use Silent Fireworks by way of respecting animals & cutting down noise pollution

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

The sound of fireworks can be distressing to animals.
The explosion that happens when a firework is set off can cause animals to have a number of health/fear reactions & can also lead to “acoustic stress” as most animals’ ears are much more sensitive than humans.

Sometimes the loud foreign noise makes them run frantically away which sometimes results in them being hit by a car or lost.

In Italy they have introduced legislation whereby people have to use Silent Fireworks as a way of respecting the animals and reducing the stress it causes them.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

If you would like the UK Parliament to pass legislation to ban fireworks that are not silent, you could start a new petition asking for that.
